De'Longhi COFFEE LINK 4+

Bought my first espresso machine in the Delonghi Dinamica plus after watching and reading reviews. Honestly, I couldn't be more happy with my choice of machines and the app well that just seals the deal. I wake it up when I wake up, and its ready to pour me a perfected shot. Seriously for a home machine the coffee is delicious. The amount of adjustments that can be made with ease on the app to my pours, the profiles, the drink selections (most I will never use) but everything about this just says bye to the $125 a month spent on iced americanos, happily It will pay for itself in a year. Machine is fine. Directions are lacking or just plain minimal, replacement instruction using delonghi products is also minimal. Written by someone who built the machine but left out the steps they had in their head but did not put in paper. Machine makes minimal amount of coffee on any standard setting. Have to trial and error to get anything more. On line tools/instructions are worse. More about how fancy coffee can be than how to actually put together different recipes using the machine and settings. Profiles are helpful once you figure it out on your own and only if your lucky. App is not the same but provides additional features with units different than on device and not described in any meaningful way in writing and worse on line. Great if you want a quick small cappuccino or expresso. Your on your own if you need to figure anything else out. In doing so, you will waste lots of coffee and even more water. For the price I would expect more written guidance and simple ability to increase volume. Good luck filling a 20oz traveler with a latte. Need to make three batches to get there.

I have an eletta explore which is their top model for super automatics. This app while easy to connect needs a lot of revamping. There should first utmost be an automatic on/off feature to turn on the machine in the morning and off at a certain time. Second, the measurements of the output of the coffee should be listed in ounces so we can use the right cup for whatever we are making in small, medium, large, etc. Third, the app should allow you to fine tune a drink to your preference. An example would be my wife likes slightly less milk in a latte. Theres no option to “make my own” drink.
